खेत[khet] show a phenomenon which I stumbled upon at 12000 feet in 2009. At this height you are above the tree line. Surroundings are bare and harsh and consist only of sand and stone. [khet] consists of 13 trees wrapped up in different fabrics and colours kept together with string, cloth or metal. All done with the up most care and precision. The fabric allows the viewer to see the intricate detail and textures of the -branches and tree trunk in contrast with the surroundings. Indeed, the trees might prove to be quite ordinary and even boring without the presence of the fabrics. But because of the fabric, the viewer is able to appreciate the ordinary tree which maybe would have not been seen without being wrapped. At the same time [khet] show the strange way/habit we have as humans to control nature, or even to protect nature from itself. In this case farmers are trying to prevent their cattle to eat the leaves from specific trees. Trees that otherwise never grow at 12000 feet, now get a chance at living in such a harsh environment. But by wrapping the trees, they can never evolve to protect themselves. They are being grown artificially, even if it is as simple and beautiful as wrapping a tree in cloths. [khet] shows the aesthetics in farming but also raise questions as in how much we are crossing a line and if we are maybe going mad with our interference in nature. Why would we want to have everything on our little mountain top if we can walk a few meters down to get exactly that what we need?

Closed-eye hallucinations and closed-eye visualizations (CEV) are a distinct class of hallucination. These types of hallucinations generally only occur when one’s eyes are closed or when one is in a darkened room. They are a form of phosphene. Certain users report closed-eye hallucinations under the influence of psychedelics. These are reportedly of a different nature than the “open-eye” hallucinations of the same compounds.
